The story

I built this
for myself.

I'm Rueben, a developer from Ireland. I got fed up with every recipe and grocery app being either bloated, expensive, or stuffed with ads. I just wanted something simple that helped me plan meals and get round the shop without the faff.

So I built Forage. It took a while, but it does exactly what I needed and nothing else. When it was done, it felt too good to keep to myself.

McBurrows Nua is the name I gave the studio. Nua means "new" in Irish. It's just me, my Mac, and a commitment to building things properly. No shortcuts, no dark patterns, no pressure to monetise everything.

No ads. No subscriptions. Just good software, completely free.

Buy me a coffee?

Forage is a one-person project built in my spare time. It's completely free, no strings attached. If you enjoy using it and want to say thanks, leaving a tip via Buy Me a Coffee is a lovely way to do that.

Completely optional. Forage works exactly the same either way.
